Quilt Preparation
1) Please iron your quilt top. While ironing check for holes, cuts, loose threads in seams, etc. There will be a minimum charge of 10.00 if you would like us to iron it.
2) Make sure batting and backing are at least 4 inches longer and wider than quilt top. This allows a 2 inch margin all around.
3) Mark the top of the quilt, so we know which way to run the pattern. Do the same with the backing if the fabric requires it.
4) Remove selvages when piecing the backing.
5) Complete the Quilting Order Form and enclose with shipment. Make checks payable to A Quilt to Remember. Full payment is expected before quilt is picked up or returned.
6) Package your materials carefully for shipment. You may deliver your quilt (please call for an appointment), ship UPS, or send it via the U. S. Post Office (use the street address). Please insure your package. Also, "delivery confirmation" is inexpensive and provides a toll free number to call, enabling you to check on the date and time your quilt arrives at A Quilt to Remember.
Turn Around Time
1) Your quilt will be processed in the order in which it is received. At that time we can give you an approximate date. Processing time depends largely on the season of year.
2) You may "save" a date on our work calendar with a $25.00 deposit, which we will later deduct from the cost of the finished quilt. This gives you a deadline and your quilt need only be in our studio one week prior to the quilting date. This date is not written in stone, although we will do our best to stay on schedule. Any person who cancels or postpones within 10 days of reserved date forfeits the deposit.

For safety sake, do not identify the contents on the box . I will e-mail you as soon as your quilt arrives. At that time, I will be able to give you design ideas, a completion date, and price. When completed, I will e-mail you with the final invoice and will mail your quilt as soon as payment is received. I accept credit card payments online through PayPal.
Shipping Note
Please email or call ahead before shipping. We suggest Priority Mail with a "Delivery Confirmation" for peace of mind. Insurance may also be added. Don't forget to include the order form. A 15.00 fee covers shipping and insurance ($200 value for finished quilts). Additional insurance may be purchased.
